The Communications division, has the responsibility of maintaining communications with the units out in the field, answering calls from citizens, and are usually the

first contact most citizens have with the Sheriff's Office.  Communication operators serve as 911 operators due to the Sheriffs Office being one of the county's 911

Public Safety Answering Position.  There are currently 14 Communication

Operators with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.  The Communications division is supervised by Donna Young Communications Sergeant
