Capt.Troy Fuller began his Law Enforcement career in 1983 in Mexico Beach Florida, as a part time police officer.  He attended the law Enforcement Academy at Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City Florida.  He worked in various capacities within law enforcement  while serving with the Callaway Police Department and Pensacola Police Department in Florida, which included a brief assignment with the Chattanooga Police Department in their undercover narcotics and vice unit.

Capt. Fuller returned to Texas in 1992 where he challenged and successfully completed the certification of Peace Officer.  In November 1994, Lieutenant Fuller began his career with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office as a correctional officer where he was assigned until joining the Uniform patrol Division in 1995.  He then progressed through the ranks of the division as a patrol deputy, field training officer, and officer in charge.

In 1997 Lieutenant was promoted to Detective and then Sergeant over the patrol Division.  In 1998 he was promoted to Lieutenant over the Criminal Investigations Division. 

He currently oversees the operations in the CID unit, Courthouse security, and Reserve Unit.  Fuller was recognized by his fellow officers in 1998 as Supervisor of the Year and awarded a Sheriff's Citation in 2001.  He currently participates in the Johnson County Sheriff's Office Mounted Patrol, K9 Unit and School Resource Officer program.

Capt. Fuller has been married 9 years and has one daughter, as well as having other family members involved in law enforcement, and is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
