Are are numerous divisions of the Johnson County Sheriff's Office that help support the office as well as the citizens of Johnson County.

Johnson County Courthouse is located at the square in Cleburne, Texas. 

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is responsible for the security of the

persons, papers and the Court House.  It has 3 district courts and 2

county court of laws  as well as holds the commissioners court and one

of the justice of the peace courts. The District and County courts have

a bailiff assigned to that court as security  for the judge and the persons

in court.  There is also two court house security deputies at the

entrance to the court house to secure the persons entering the

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office currently has 8 School Resource Officers working within the cities of Johnson County.

The School Resource Officers duties in the schools are the following:             

    1. To establish liaison with school principals, faculty, and students.

    2. To establish and maintain liaison between School Security personnel and other SRO's assigned to school campuses.

    3. To inform the students of their rights and responsibilities as lawful citizens.

    4. To provide liaison between students and social agencies which provide needed services.

    5. To act as a liaison resource to the principal in investigating criminal law violations occurring in the school or on school property.

    6. To assist administration and faculty in formulating criminal justice programs.

    7. To formulate educational crime prevention programs to reduce the opportunity for crimes against persons and property in the schools.

    8. To participate in the Parent-Teacher-Student Association meetings as requested.

    9. To participate in campus activities, student organizations, and athletic events when invited and feasible.

    10. To be aware at all times of the responsibility to improve the image of the uniformed law enforcement officer in the eyes of the students and the community. along with many other responsibilities.

Communications

The Communications division, has the responsibility of maintaining communications with the units out in the field, answering calls from citizens, and are usually the first contact most citizens have with the Sheriff's Office.  Communication operators serve as 911 operators due to the Sheriffs Office being one of the county's 911 Public Safety Answering Position.  There are currently 14 Communication Operators with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.  The Communications division is supervised by Donna Young Communications Sergeant
